04.01.2007 UNCG Craftsmanship Quality Award

The Winston-Salem Division was recently awarded the UNCG Craftsmanship Quality Award for their work at the Brown Building Renovation project. University of North Carolina Greensboro Director, Fredrick A. Patrick, AIA, PE presented the award to Rick Ferron, Bob Shelton, Larry Brown, Tim Williams, Josh Leo, John Thompson, Joel Brewer, Scott Smith, Steve Delk, and Billy Cavanaugh following a recent project meeting. This award is meant to recognize high quality work, adherence to the project’s schedule, a cooperative “can do” attitude, and a proactive approach to the work.

The Brown Hall Renovation project with New Atlantic Contracting of Winston-Salem consists of a complete renovation to the 34,505 square foot auditorium, office and classroom building. The work which began in October of 2006 includes a new 12 KV service, power riser, UPS, new lighting, theatrical specialties, base mounted wire mold, cable tray, low voltage communication systems, fire alarm, security card access, and lightning protection. This project is scheduled to finish in the fall of 2007.
