The Yarbrough chiller plant involved a major demolition phase of the Riddick
stadium and office building, installation of underground electrical site
utilities to support the addition of 12,000-ton chilled water production
equipment within a new facility.
As part of the overall program, massive utility relocations and new
distribution lines were installed throughout the campus. A comprehensive
campus pedestrian and traffic plan was developed by Gilbane to mitigate busy
campus disruption.
Over two (2) miles of chilled water piping and electrical duct banks were
installed over a three month period.
