ABC OF THE CAROLINAS RECOGNIZES
2004 CRAFT PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Charlotte, NC - The associated Builders and Contractors of the
Carolinas (ABCC) recognized Brad Thorne of Watson Electrical
Construction Company, located in Wilson, North Carolina, as the 2004
Carolinas Craft Professional of the Year. Brad received this
prestigious award at the Associated Builders and Contractors of the
Carolinas' Third Annual Evening of Excellence last Thursday.

"It is with great honor and admiration that we recognize Brad Thorne
as our Craft Professional of the Year," said Doug Carlson, ABCC
President and CEO. "Brad represents the best of the best of our Craft
Professionals that are at the core of our industry that need to be
recognized and appreciated for their expertise and their profession."
Mr. Thorne was recognized for his outstanding credentials and
commitment to excellence as an electrician in the construction
industry. He began his career nine years ago as an electrical helper,
graduated in the electrical apprenticeship program, and now serves as
a foreman for Watson Electrical Construction.

Brad's resume includes honors such as being recognized as the 2004
Outstanding Fourth Year Apprentice by the North Carolina Department
of Labor, and also receiving Third Place in the 2003 North Carolina
Department of Labor Apprenticeship contest. Mr. Thorne will be
nominated by Associated Builders and Contractors for the ABC
National Craft Professional of the Year competition to be awarded at
the 2005 ABC National Convention in Orlando, Florida in February.
