Watson Electrical held its 16th Annual Electrical Apprenticeship Contest on August 6th at the Wilson County-American Legion Fairgrounds. Since the first event, Watson Electrical’s Contest has been the pinnacle of the company’s training programs. Just as important, it remains a celebration of how apprenticeship can be a tool to develop outstanding, highly-qualified electricians and company leaders. Watson Electrical’s Contest emphasizes how apprenticeship can be the foundation for career growth. The Contest is a well-run training event exemplifying teamwork within the Company at all levels—Human Resources, Training, Safety, Management, Supervision and Craft Workers.
Watson Electrical’s Contest was very successful in organization and efficiency; the judges repeatedly commented about the high degree of workmanship and close competition amongst all 20 apprentices.
