Watson Electrical Apprentice Receives Top Honors from the NC Dept. of Labor Apprenticeship Bureau

Michael Claar won first place at the NC State Fairs annual Electrical Apprenticeship Contest sponsored each year by the North Carolina Department of Labor

 Michael, a third year apprentice, out-performed 29 other 3rd and 4th year apprentices from across the state.He and 3rd Place winner, Chris Januzys of Watsons Burlington Division, were two of only three contestants to finish the newly designed project. The competition is intense where an apprentice must efficiently demonstrate practically every skill of the trade in completing a four hour project and an hour long electrical code test. Michael began his career at Watson in 2005 at Raleigh Division and started apprenticeship classes shortly after transferring to Wilmington Division. This accomplishment signifies the fact that Michael is well on his way to a successful career by helping make Watson Electrical the Carolinas premier Electrical Contractor!
