Electrical Safety Services
Our Goal, “Zero Accidents”
Our Company Safety goal is simply put “Zero Accidents.” Our safety program is the tool by which we reach, teach and monitor our progress towards our goal.
Company Safety Results
Statistics are an important indicator when it comes to evaluating a company’s safety results. Statistically, the EMR (Experience Modification Rate) serves as a base indicator of achievement and comparison year-to-year. Watson Electrical has continuously been better than the “benchmark” 1.00 figure and stands at 0.71 for the year 2019.
Watson’s OSHA Recordable Rate has remained low year in and year out and is consistently well below the National Rate not only for construction but all industries. Watson’s current OSHA recordable rate is 0.00 for our entire company. In 2017 our rate was 0.28, and our rate for 2016 was also 0.00 for work done in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia!
Lost Time incident rates can provide an indicator of the severity of accidents that do occur, and Watson’s rate reflects the same positive result in that category as well.
At Watson Electrical Construction, we maintain that the prevention of accidents is an integral part of all operations and a major objective of the company, its management team, and supervision. Only the active and sincere cooperation of all employees will ensure the successful achievement of this goal. It is our policy to ensure that safety is both practiced and observed and that it is recognized as the most important part of every job function. We achieve this by:
- Management Commitment
- Employee Involvement
- Training & Certification of all Employees
- Hazard Control and Inspections
