Transparency in Coverage
The following link leads to the machine-readable files (MRFs) that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
Please note that this link will take you to the BCBSNC solution for accessing our MRFs.
At Watson Electrical it is our goal to provide our employees with great options for their benefits. We provide health, dental, and vision coverage. As well as short and long term disability coverage. We have several savings plans including a 401k and a Christmas Club. Our benefits offerings are reviewed annually and adjustments made to ensure that we are offering the best benefits available.
Each year open enrollment generally occurs towards the end of October and runs through the first part of November. Changes to your benefits must occur during this time unless you have a qualifying life event.
To receive benefits you must be a qualified eligible employee. If you are not sure of your eligibility, contact Human Resources at 252-237-7511.
All employees are required to participate in the direct deposit payroll benefit.
Health, Vision & Dental Insurance
Our health plan is offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC). After hours or urgent care can be very expensive. This is why we are utilizing the new MDLIVE (telehealth) offered by BCBSNC. This is a board-certified doctor you can see via a secure online video chat platform. You can see this doctor from anywhere you have a video internet connection and at any time of the day or night. They can even send your pharmacy prescriptions. This is great for minor health problems like getting a sore throat, the flu, ear problems, pin eye, sinus problems, and so much more.
Dental preventive services are covered 100% and other services are covered with coinsurance.
Vision insurance covers the exam, frames, lens and even contact lens.
Wellness Incentive Program
Each quarter we hold wellness challenges to encourage employees to proactively manage their health. Then, when the challenge is over, winners will be selected from the employees who have met the challenge and will receive great prizes. One of the prizes we have given has been a Yetti cooler.
We have seven paid holidays throughout the year.
- New Years Day
- Independence Day
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Our 401k plan is managed through BB&T and is an employee contributed plan. However, the company does have some contribution matching.

The EAP benefit is for personal and/or professional concerns. It helps by providing a network of counselors that are local to you. Some of the areas EAP can assist with are family conflict, relationship issues, grief and loss, stress, depression and anxiety, as well as alcohol or drug use.
