Tom Headlee opens our very first Foremen & Superintendent Onboarding Training class in our Charleston, SC location. These are Foremen & Superintendents from both Charleston, & Greenville, SC. This training was designed for new and newly promoted Foremen & Superintendents. Since it’s our first class, these Foremen & Superintendents will give us feedback from this class to help us finalize the format for future classes. Going forward, we will have these classes periodically.
In his opening remarks, Tom told the group Watson Electrical believes in training. Training helps us get better both individually and as a company. The only way we get better is when we are learning.

With encouragement from his brother, who, at the time, was a Watson employee, Joe Loria applied to and was hired by Watson Electrical on May 13, 1986. However, Joe was not sure that he wanted to work in the electrical field. So, over the next several years, Joe would work with Watson on and off again. Then, in 1992, Joe settled down and decided to put his efforts into his electrical trade career at Watson Electrical.
From 1992 through 1996, Joe worked and learned his trade through the Watson Electrical Apprenticeship program. This in-class and hands-on program teaches the necessary skills to become a journeyman electrician upon completion. Teffany Brantley has proven to be a valued member of the Watson Electrical family. In June of 1999, fresh from graduating high school, Teffany was seeking employment. She read the help wanted section of the local newspaper where Watson Electrical had placed an ad for a part-time general file clerk. Teffany started part-time with Watson Electrical on June 16, 1999, and went to full-time soon after.
As time went on, Teffany held several positions. From general file clerk to helpdesk coordinator for the IT department, Teffany has been a team player. She has helped with accounts payable, became the secretary for the alarm division and then the secretary in the maintenance department, and all the while helping out answering calls that came into the IT helpdesk.
